The Efergy Single Remote Controlled Socket EF008 - EU 2 Pin is a new but unboxed product that lets you switch your appliances on and off with a remote control (not included).
You can save time, effort, electricity and money by turning off devices like computers, TVs, microwaves or lamps, especially if they are hard to reach. You can also use a trailing socket to turn off several appliances at once with the all on / all off function.
The socket is easy to set up and use, and can handle a maximum load of 3680 watts per socket.
The Remote Controlled Socket product consists of two parts; an electrical socket /plug and a remote control (not included). The Remote Controlled Socket is plugged into any normal electrical outlet and can be switched on and off with the remote. In a home typically you will have your TV, DVD, digital set-top box and a video recorder all plugged into a four or six-way trailing socket that is plugged into the electrical socket in the wall. Simply unplug the four or six-way trailing socket from the wall, plug the Remote Controlled Socket into the wall outlet then plug the four-way trailing socket into the Standby Eliminator Socket. You can now switch off the power to all the appliances completely using the Remote Controlled Socket remote.

What kind of remote control do I need to use the socket and where can I get it?
You need a remote control that uses the same frequency (433.92 MHz) and learning code (> 1 million) as the socket. You can get it from the same manufacturer (Efergy) or from other compatible brands.
How can I use the all on / all off function to control multiple sockets with one button?
You can use the all on / all off function to control multiple sockets with one button by pairing the same button on the remote control with different sockets. To do this, you need to press and hold the button on the socket until the LED flashes, then press the desired button on the remote control within 5 seconds. The socket will beep to confirm the pairing. You can repeat this process for other sockets that you want to control with the same button.
How can I save energy and money by using the socket?
You can save energy and money by using the socket to turn off your appliances completely when you are not using them. This will prevent them from consuming power in standby mode, which can account for up to 10% of your electricity bill. You can also use the socket to turn off devices that generate heat, such as TVs or microwaves, which can reduce your cooling costs in summer.
