Powertraveller powerchimp emergency portable charger: The powerchimp is a small, compact emergency charger for standard mobile phones (not suitable for iPhones) and other 5V devices. It gives up to 48 hours standby time on a standard mobile phone, approx. 20 hours on iPod audio playback or up to an extra 2.5 hours on handheld games consoles such as Sony PSP or Nintendo DS range. Requires 2 x AA rechargeable batteries (included): The powerchimp uses 2 x AA batteries and comes with 2 x AA rechargeable batteries as standard. These long shelf-life Ni-MH batteries can provide up to an extra 48 hours of power for your device. It is recommended that you charge the batteries (inside the powerchimp) for at least 12 hours before you first use it. Works With: The powerchimp is compatible with most 5V devices such as mobile phones, iPods, GPS systems, handheld games consoles, etc. Due to the power-hungry nature of the iPhone range, we do not recommend this product as a suitable charger for iPhones. Battery Capacity and Charge Times: The powerchimp requires 2 x AA batteries (included). The charge time will depend upon the capacity of the batteries used but typically the powerchimp outputs power at the same rate as if you were charging your device from AC mains. Both standard and rechargeable batteries can be used in the powerchimp. Recharge AA Batteries: The powerchimp is capable of recharging AA rechargeable batteries. To recharge AA batteries, simply insert them into the powerchimp and charge via USB. Flashlight Function: The end of the powerchimp features a useful flashlight, perfect for finding your keys in your bag. To activate, simply press the black on/off button three times. The flashlight will automatically switch off when the connection cable to charge is attached.
